A great solution for canceled video content.
It’s the end of December 2021, headed in 2022. The omicron variant meets holiday travel, positive tests go on the rise, and we’re back to rescheduling video content. So what is a great solution for videos that had to be canceled? Glad you asked!
Animated visuals with interview audio.
Before I explain using text that you’re speed reading anyway, let’s first show a clip from an example:
We can’t show you the full video, but here’s the story behind what you just watched.
Stories of founders, brands, or customers are often told well through interviews. The current challenge of a pandemic means limited access and increased restrictions. The alternative is often captured Zoom interviews, they do relay the message, but let’s face it, no one is proud of the production quality. It gets by.
So here’s what we did. Chris Ruder from Spikeball hopped on a call with us to be interviewed about the story of the company. We used Zencastr to capture the best quality audio. We use Zencastr because it records natively onto the person’s computer and automatically uploads back to us. This means no worry about internet speeds, lags, or drops.
Once we have the interview audio, the rest is standard for our animation process. We cut the audio down to the best story, we create a storyboard for the visuals, and we animate it. The entire process happens remotely.
So why is this better? It looks intentional, instead of content where the viewer feels the restraints of current social distancing, and your videos look like an afterthought. This intentionality speaks to the foresight and quality of the brand it represents.
Here are some more examples of content we’ve created when filming in person wasn’t an option and timing was critical.

When the pandemic first started, we launched a series called Video:Simple. This episode presented four ideas for content in a socially distant world.
